Chick Corea and Gary Burton Jazz up the Santa Fe Scene

Our innkeepers often choose a melodic jazz CD to play during the morning breakfast hour at the Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn, but live is so much better, isn't it?  On Sunday, May 1, renowned jazz musicians Chick Corea and Gary Burton will be jazzing things up at the Lensic Performing Arts Center

Chick Corea, instrumental in the birth of the electric jazz fusion movement of the 1970's, is also the founder of the ever-popular enemble, "Return to Forever".  Corea continues to be a  jazz pianist, keyboardist and composer of international renown.  Gary Burton, also a pioneer in fusion jazz, is known for his innovative playing of the vibraphone.  The two artists have produced several albums (remember them?) and CD's together, including the 1979 epic "Crystal Silence".

Corea and Burton are currently in the midst of an international tour, covering the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland and Israel.  The dynamic musical duo shows no signs of slowing down!  This concert is a fabulous opportunity for all jazz lovers in Santa Fe on May 1.

Ticket prices are $30-$65 and may be purchased by phoning 505.988.1234 or online at TicketsSantaFe.org.
