Giddyup to the Buckaroo Ball

Hey all you cowboys and cowgirls coming to The Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast in mid-June, time to get your tickets to the annual Buckaroo Ball.  This gala is one of the highlights of the Santa Fe social scene, with music, dancing, a live auction and lots of merriment.  The Buckaroo Ball, now in its 15th year, raises money to help at-risk children in Santa Fe County.

This year the event will take place on June 17 at the Santa Fe Farmer's Market, from 6pm-9pm.  Kick up your heels to the music of South by Southwest and savor delicious food prepared by Hotel Santa Fe.  Wine from the Santa Fe Vineyards will be flowing freely.  You might want to shop at Kowboyz for some duds, as most attendees will be dressed in their finest cowboy regalia.

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased online.

Saturday brings more Buckaroo festivities at The Railyard, with a free event open to the public from noon to 6pm.  There will be story-telling by the beloved Joe Hayes, music by Joe West Review, with the Buckarettes, the Bill Hearne Trio and Kim & the Caballeros, as well as delicious BBQ from Whole Hog.

The fun doesn't stop there.  Stick around for the Hoedown, a free community event on Saturday night, offering another opportunity to two-step the night away.
