Native Treasures Indian Arts Festival

Like so many visitors to Santa Fe, guests of The Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn are drawn to the art of the Native American population.  Coming up over the Memorial Day Weekend is the Native Treasures Indian Arts Festival, a wonderful opportunity to view and/or purchase museum-quality Native American art.  Featured with be 200 of the most renowned Native American artists from around the country, showcasing and selling everything from pottery to jewelry to weavings.  Styles range from traditional to contemporary, and artists range from newly discovered, up-and-coming to well-established names in the field.

The two-day event includes demonstrations, food and music, making for a festive event.  Not only is this a great chance to add a stunning piece or two to your collection, the proceeds will go to benefit the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture.  The location, the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, is just a few blocks away from The Hacienda Nicholas B&B, so you can easily walk and avoid the lines of cars heading for the parking areas.

Be sure to get there when the event begins for the best selection of art, should you be in buying mode.  Otherwise, take your time and stroll through at a more leisurely pace, enjoying the entertainment an great spirit of this gathering.
