Folk Art of the Andes

The Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn captivates visitors from around the world who are drawn to Santa Fe's vast collection of art. One of the most favorite places to view art is The International Folk Art Museum, which has a new exhibit - Folk Art of the Andes.

This is a spectacular collection of over 850 pieces, including embroidery, weaving, metalwork, sculpture, ceramics and painting and woodwork. Marvel over these various types of indigenous art forms as seen in a variety of costumes, toys, religious artifacts, jewelry and everyday household items. In addition to this particular exhibit are enchanting rooms filled with a variety of old doll houses, replicas of Guatamalan marketplaces, Day of the Dead items, textiles from around the world and so much more. The museum is a delight for all ages.

The exhibition runs until September 9, 2012 in the Hispanic Heritage Wing and through March 10, 2013 in the Barlett Gallery.
