Santa Fe Studio Tour

Santa Fe is famous for its galleries and plethora of artists, resulting in a steady stream of visitors to the city and to The Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast. From the hundred plus galleries of Canyon Road to the more informal viewings at coffee shops and local businesses, the city offers a myriad of venues to view art.

In addition to the exhibition spaces, there are a number of studio tours throughout the year. They range in size and scope, from the tours of Dixon studios to those of Eldorado. The most ambitious is the bi-annual Santa Fe Studio Tour, which happens in both June and November. The event is a great opportunity to meet some of Santa Fe's top artists, as well as to visit their studios, see their work, and in many cases, see actual demonstrations of artists at work.

The tour, which kicks off on Friday, June 17 with a Preview Party, is free to the public. Plan on spending at least part of your Saturday or Sunday touring the studios of the thirty participating artists, including photographers, sculptors, painters, ceramicists, digital artists and more. You will come away with a greater appreciation for the work of these artists, if not a piece or two to add to your collection.
