Spring Festival and Children's Fair at Las Golondrinas
Guests of The Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn will want to get out to Rancho de las Golondrinas this weekend, whether they have children in tow or not.
On Saturday and Sunday, June 4th and 5th, this living history museum hosts their annual Spring Festival and Children's Fair. The historic Spanish ranch comes alive with traditional New Mexican music and dance, demonstrations of sheep shearing, bread-making in an horno (an authentic outdoor adobe oven), puppet shows, arts and crafts-making and much more. There will also be traditional New Mexican food, arts and crafts for sale.
Tickets are reasonably priced at $8/adult, $5/teens and seniors, and FREE for anyone under the age of 13. The event is great fun for all ages, and is an engaging way to learn about life in New Mexico during the 19th century.
