Check out Globalquerque

Music lovers staying at The Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn over the weekend of September 16 and 17 may want to spend some time at Globalquerque, New Mexico's 7th Annual Celebration of World Music and Culture.

You will be entertained by world music entertainers from 5 continents, with musicians from Pakistan, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Bulgaria, France and New Zealand, to name just a few. Among the line-up are Cedric Watson & Bijou Creole from Louisiana, Buffy Sainte-Marie for some Cree music, DePedro from Spain, and Gaida from Syria.

The nightly concerts begin at 6pm and take place on three different stages. In addition to the musical events is the Global Fiesta, taking place from 10:30am-4pm, featuring workshops, demonstrations, hands-on crafts, international dance classes, food, shopping and more. The world comes to Albuquerque during these two days!

Tickets purchased on the day of the show are $60 for an adult two-day pass and $35 for an adult one-day pass. Save some money by purchasing your tickets in advance by calling 505.724.4771. Advance ticket prices are $50 for two days and $30 for one day. Children get in for half price.
