Celebrate Halloween at The Mine Shaft Tavern

Guests of The Hacienda Nicholas Bed and Breakfast Inn for Halloween will notice that Santa Fe goes all out for this holiday, which is not surprising for such an arts-based community. In Santa Fe, Halloween is definitely not just for the kids! If you want to get into the spirit of Halloween, head out to Madrid, a coal mining town dating back to 1835, for an evening of revelry at The Mine Shaft Tavern. Enjoy dinner, dancing and libations, as well as a costume contest. The contest itself begins at 9pm, with awards given out at 10:30pm.

Need to put together a last-minute costume? Party City, on Cordova and St. Francis, has a wide array of ready-to-go costumes. If you are feeling more creative, put together a one-of-a-kind costume at Double Take, a consignment shop on Guadalupe Street. Who knows, you may just win a prize!
