Meow Wolf to Perform at Site Santa Fe

Many guests of the Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn will want to engage in the innovative Time-Lapse exhibition at Site Santa Fe.  Site Santa Fe is contemporary arts organization offering ongoing exhibitions, lectures and events to the community of Santa Fe.  Time-Lapse, showing now through May 20, 2012, challenges the notion that an art exhibit is static in nature.  Rather, Time-Lapse is an evolving and ever-changing display with hourly, daily and weekly changes taking place throughout the duration of the show.  In essence, no two days will be the same.  The exhibition comprises large-scale gallery installations, performance art, film screenings, lectures and discussion groups.   One such event will be the performances of Meow Wolf, a collaboration of alternative Santa Fe artists.  Meow Wolf will present two evenings of discourse, dance, poetry, visual arts creation and mediation intended to question preconceived notions of time and space.   These performances will take place from 5-7pm on Friday, April 6 and Friday, May 18.

Event for Animal Lovers

As the Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn is able to accommodate canine guests, it seems only natural to bring attention to the upcoming Bridging the Worlds Animal Sanctuary Fundraiser.  This event will take place on Saturday, March 10, from 6pm-11pm at Body.

Bridging the Worlds has saved hundreds of dogs from abusive situations and shelters where they would have been put to sleep, taking care of them and working diligently to find them loving homes in the community.  Help them continue their good works while enjoying an evening of art, poetry and music from local singer/songwriters.   Get your groove on and shake your booty to the music of the Doug Webb Band, featuring Lydia Clark.  There will also be a silent auction, featuring generous donations from local artists, masseuses jewelers and more.

The event promises to be loads of fun and is most assuredly for a good cause!  There is a $15 suggested donation at the door.
