Greg, the 'cowboy' innkeeper at Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn, keeps the tunes flowing throughout the breakfast hour. Good music plus fantastic southwestern food is a great way to start the day in Santa Fe. For more fun music, check out the Santa Fe Marimba Festival, a four-day event beginning on Wednesday, June 6.
The Marimba Festival opens at 7pm on June 6 with "Marimba Music From Around the World", and then "Contemporary Classical Marimba" on June 7 - both events at 7 pm at the St. Francis Auditorium. Ticket prices for the St. Francis Auditorium concerts are just $15 each.
The marimba concerts continue at The Lensic Performing Arts Center with "Double Image", featuring mallet percussionists Dave Samuels and David Friedman on June 8 at 8pm, and end with the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and guests marimbists at 6pm on June 9. Tickets for the Lensic concerts range in price from $20-50.
Tickets for all Santa Fe Marimba Festival concerts may be purchased online at ticketssantafe.org or by calling 505.988.1234.
