Cuban Sizzle Comes to Santa Fe

Shake, wiggle and swivel your hips on down to the Lensic Performing Arts Center, just a few blocks from  the Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn, for a memorable night of Cuban music.   The event, taking place on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, features the traditional Cuban music of Sierra Maestra.

The mission of Sierra Maestra, formed 34 years ago, was to revive the classical Cuban music of the 1920's and 1930's.   While the group's leader went on to begin the famous Buena Vista Social Club, Sierra Maestra is still considered the best band in the world today playing the music from Cuba's golden age.  This energizing music, considered the soul of Cuba, utilizes the old-style instrumental line-up of guitar, trumpet, bongo, guro and vocals.

Sierra Maestra performs at festivals and clubs throughout the world to rave reviews.  Reserve your tickets now so as not to miss your opportunity to see this highly-acclaimed group.  Ticket prices are a reasonable $20-$40, and may be purchased online at TicketsSantaFe.org, or by calling 505.988.1234.
