Museum Hill Gardens Grand Opening

The roses of The Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn are about to reach their peak, and already the garden is ablaze with color from our abundant jupiter's beard, yarrow, salvia and other drought-tolerant flowers.  Garden lovers will also be interested in knowing of the grand opening of the Santa Fe Museum Hill Garden (Museum Hill is home to four of Santa Fe's best museums:  The International Folk Art Museum, The Wheelwright, Spanish Colonial Museum and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture) scheduled for the weekend of July 19-21, 2013.  The Orchard Gardens, a project undertaken by the Santa Fe Botanical Garden, consist of 1.7 acres of landscaping and stonework.

Those wishing to be the first to view the Meadow Garden will want to attend the Gala Opening Night Reception on July 19 from 6-8pm.  Stroll the beautiful gardens and view one of the famous Santa Fe sunsets while enjoying mariachi music, local libations of margaritas and sangria, and munching on a selection of delicious tapas.  Gala tickets are $125/person and may be purchased online.

Saturday, July 20 is reserved for members of the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and their friends, with the official Public Opening scheduled for Sunday, July 21, from 9am-5pm.  The day will feature entertainment, activities and performances by local artists, dancers and musicians, as well as food and drink.  The day promises to be a great celebration of community and sustainable local gardening.
