Guests of the Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast will want to dance on over to The Lodge at Santa Fe for  an evening of fiery, soulful and passionate flamenco dance. Santa Fe favorite Juan Siddi and his Flamenco Theatre Company have been delighting audiences for five years with both traditional and contemporary flamenco music and dance.  The ensemble features some the top flamenco musicians from Spain and the U.S., including masters of the guitar, cello, piano and song.  This talented and vivacious company will thrill you with the mystery and passion that is flamenco dance.

Enjoy an evening of Spanish culture to the fullest and treat yourself to a dinner of tapas and selections from the full beverage service, served in an intimate cabaret theater setting.

Performances may be enjoyed Tuesdays through Sundays at 8pm.  Due to the popularity of these performances, their season has now been extended through September 1, 2013.

Flamenco to Warm up a Cold Winter's Night

Santa Fe has been experiencing some colder than normal temperatures this January, but just one block from the Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast Inn, the Flamenco en Fuego evening will warm up the coldest of nights.  Come in out of the cold for this Latin Dance Performance and three course dinner being offered up at Fuego, the high end dining establishment at La Posada Resort & Spa.  Performing this evening will be Ballet en Fuego, one of the Southwest's top dance troupes, known for their proficiency in Mexican, Spanish and Latin dance, as well as their vibrant costumes.

 Executive Chef Carmen Rodriguez, voted the New Mexico Chef of the Year in 2012, will be serving up a three course dinner as the dancer's perform.  Selections from the first course include a choice of Ensalada Nido de Pajaro or Thai Coconut Horchata Soup.  The second course offerings include Salmon en Papa with Red Chile Honey Braised Chard and Green Chile Hollandaise or Enchilada Madre Santa or Puerco con Hongo.  Finish up your meal with Nana's Chocolate Mousse.

The price is $48 per person. with two seatings available:  5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Experience the Passion of Flamenco

We provide the Bed and the Breakfast at Hacienda Nicholas, but the entertainment is up to you. I recommend to all guests this fall that they treat themselves to a night of exciting flamenco at The Lodge at Santa Fe, in the renowned Maria Benitez Cabaret Theatre. Here you will experience the fire and passion of Spanish Flamenco dancer Antonio Granjero & the EntreFlamenco Company. The production runs now through October 23, 2011, with performances beginning nightly at 8:30pm. This intimate theatre, with seating for just 160, also offers beverage and tapas service, making for a whole evening of Spanish culture.

These performances of authentic Andalucian Flamenco are directed and choreographed by principal dancer Antonio Granjero, who worked closely with Maria Benitez Teatro Flamenco for over 10 years.
